Even if you are not a longtime Sounders fan I think you can appreciate the meaning of the name. It is taken after US, Puget SOUNDERS, people living in this part of the world.

"The Sounders Theme" was picked as their signature song by the Seattle All City Band in 1975. To this day the song is played when the Sounders come onto the pitch or score a goal. The All City Band traditionally ends every concert with "The Sounders Theme."
