
In the last few weeks three local newspapers have picked up on the growing debate over whether elite soccer academy clubs should have the power to 'prohibit' their players from also playing for their high schools.
The Everett Herald jumped on it first with stories here and here. Next came the Kitsap Sun. Now today's Seattle Times joins the chorus.
Washington Premier Soccer (WPS-Soccer.com), the top forum for youth soccer in Washington State, has been talking about this for some time here and now here.
Meanwhile, down in LA the same sort of discussion rages on.
Soccer America takes a look at the pay-for-play issue in their march edition.
